[RFE] Add animated cursor support for linux

Hi

It looks like cursor support only works for Linux / Mac OSX / Windows but animated cursor support only works for Mac OSX  / Windows and not Linux. Is there a reason why animated cursor support is not supported on Linux? Would it be possible to add support?
