Every single lwjgl webstart application I've tried to run crashes instantly, with a failure message like this :

This is a more or less vanilla MacBook Pro, Tiger (Apple) 10.4.8, Tiger (Java) 5.0, latest addons and patches.

Does anyone know what to do - as I would like to try some LWJGL games or demos ?

Thanks !

It could be that the demos don't have the updated LWJGL jars included for the Intel Macs. I develop my games on a MacBook Pro, and my own stuff works just fine. Try:

and see if that one works for you.
