State of Development for Steering Wheels

Hi guys, I saw from your site that one of the goals of lwjgl is to implement support for steering wheels, but it doesn't look like that's done yet.  Could you let me know the status of that work?  If development of that module is not yet on the roadmap, could you point me to any helpful resources to get me started?
