Hi,
I tryed to start the demo applet. I have the JRE 1.6, Win XP and at first, I saw the gears were spinnung a bit and then, firefox was hanging off. Do you know why? The web start applications worked fine.

which gears applet are you trying? there are two one uses AWTGLCanvas and the other Display.setParent().
