README - PbufferTest
« on: May 20, 2008, 14:24:32 »
hi,

this is about the least useful README file i have seen in trying to get something unfamiliar to work. My version of java is

java version "1.5.0_13"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_13-b05-237)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_13-119, mixed mode, sharing)

i find multiple problems in

org.lwjgl.test.opengl.pbuffers.PbufferTest

it needs to be start with 1 or 2, 1 works fine (aside from the +/- issue)

   org.lwjgl.test.opengl.pbuffers.PbufferTest 1

but  does not

   org.lwjgl.test.opengl.pbuffers.PbufferTest 2

hangs up with

Change between fullscreen and windowed mode, by pressing F and W respectively
Move quad using arrowkeys, and change rotation using +/-
Pbuffer support detected. Initializing...

Creating render-to-texture pbuffer with unique context...OK
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException
   at org.lwjgl.opengl.MacOSXDisplay.releaseTexImageFromPbuffer(MacOSXDisplay.java:474)
   at org.lwjgl.opengl.Pbuffer.releaseTexImage(Pbuffer.java:324)
   at org.lwjgl.test.opengl.pbuffers.UniqueRendererRTT.enable(UniqueRendererRTT.java:74)
   at org.lwjgl.test.opengl.pbuffers.PbufferTest.render(PbufferTest.java:215)
   at org.lwjgl.test.opengl.pbuffers.PbufferTest.mainLoop(PbufferTest.java:170)
   at org.lwjgl.test.opengl.pbuffers.PbufferTest.execute(PbufferTest.java:154)
   at org.lwjgl.test.opengl.pbuffers.PbufferTest.main(PbufferTest.java:424)

do i need to worry ... ? thanks, ciao,
