Java game networking issues

Ok, I think I got the jitter problem fixed. It was in my client-side prediction. Boy, I should have started with something easier I think.  :P

Well, drats. The lockups are back.  :(

On a LAN, everything works fine... but over the internet, I get random lockups. No errors or anything - that's what most frustrating. Anyone know of a way to track this problem down?
