well I would like to see back the glu quadrics functions.
I like to use the sphere one for make sphere without bothering much :wink:

We have a plan to implement the entire of GLU in pure Java - you can make a start on it if you like :P

The native library basically doesn't talk to Java at all well. It also requires a native library too of course, which we might just as easily do without if we can have a pure Java solution.
