Retrieve Multisampling info

Hi guys,

I need to know the max samples number available with GL_ARB_multisample extension. I have seen the documentation on SGI site, but I haven't found any info about. I have tried to realize a function that tests many modes and get the max samples number, but I must create a new Display at any test and I think this isn't a good solution.

Can anyone help me?
