Puppygames today released PUPPYTRON 2084 (http://www.puppygames.net/applets/puppytron.jnlp) (1.5mb) (Java 1.4+, OpenGL, MacOS X, Windows, Linux x86)
The last human family is already dead! Only the swarms of evil killer robots remain. And you.
A frenetic shooter for dextrous
hardcore players.
- Endless swarms of robots. You will die. But how long can you hold out?
- Only hiscores matter. Play because you must be the best
- Losers need not apply.
Cas :)
Nice.
I loved Robotron 2084. Unfortunately it is just not the same on the keyboard. Still fun though.
Also, the hi score server is not working.
It is working, you're probably just firewalled in some way. Outgoing connections to puppygames.net:1099 are required. Sometime in the next few weeks I'll put HTTP tunneling in on it and that'll allow you to play at work too ;)
Cas :)
Hehe nice game :)
Can't go higher than 95 000 points at the moment !
Chman
I will add "score groups" soon so you can all have your own hiscore tables :)

I am on my home PC. There are no restrictions here. Maybe it was just a hicup. I will try again.
Still not seeing the high scores. Is there a log file that I can look at for errors?
Go to the Java control panel and turn on tracing. It'll write a log of stuff out to docs & settings\<username>\Application Data\Sun\Java\deployment\logs - you're interested in the *.trace files
Cas :)
I was unable to find how to turn on tracing. I was able to log the output(is this what you meant?). Here is what I got.

Awwww! That game is really cute.
Good work. :)
What about a "pause" button ?
Chman
Yeah ok. Next update ;)
I've just made it so that it now stores 100 hiscores instead of 10. Much less disheartening!
Cas :)
Aaaaaaah that good, I'll have a chance to appear into the highscore menu ;)
Chman
Saw the hi-score table now.
