I just noticed that all .pom files inside the 'lwjgl-maven-2.7.1.zip' declare '2.7.0' as the version.
Hence, either the .pom files were not updated or the download link/file names are misleading :-)
I'll mark this one as closed as its a bit late to fix this for 2.7.1 now and to reduce the number of open bug threads, hopefully this'll be fixed in the 2.8 release, further maven issues should be posted in this thread (http://lwjgl.org/forum/index.php/topic,3707.0.html).
