It's time to decide a logo for LWJGL. The number of submissions have been rather low, much lower than I exected. So if you have one you'd like to add - send it in NOW.

I like them all, except #3. #1 looks a lot like the apache logo though. I voted for #6 even though they all look pretty cool.
Likes the lightness of #1. The association with both lightweight and writing
#3, #4, and #5 are all so smalll. Are there bigger pics of them?

I really like #2 and #6. I went ahead and voted for #2, but I think I'd be perfectly content with either of them.
too be honest i don't like any of them, but the first one is the best of the lot!
I hate #2-5, I would accept #6, but I voted for #1.
I like 2 and 6 but they both need a bit of twiddling perhaps. The others are a bit too "impact font and photoshop effect".

The 6th is surely the best one from my point of view (the top one is better). Makes me feel that LWJGL is a professional game library...
I like #4, but it's too small... I voted for #6.
The first one really does look like apache, which is Not A Good Thing (tm). The only good ones are #2 and #6, but #2 is stretched vertically too much.
On second thought... I like the first one the best. It really doesn't look anything like apache's logo (http://wise.berkeley.edu/pages/images/apache-feather.gif)...
Everybody just associates a feather with apache because we've seen it so much. I admit that apache is the first thing that I thought about when I saw logo1... but the logos are very different!
i've also had second thoughts, is it possible to change vote?
I like number 8 (I already voted :cry: ). It would look really cool animated :lol:
I agree that 8 would look cool animated! Although it might be a bit hard to stick in a corner of a splash screen or something (can someone make a translucent png for it?).
We may need to do a second round of voting with just the finalists, and include #8 in it as it wasn't present for the whole poll and most of us have already cast our vote.

I like #4 and #6,
#6 is very professional, like the WASD layout.
#4 contains the wireframe hill, which I really like and seems like a good symbol.
Don't know why #1 is so popular. Its unclear and the relation between the feather and a gaming library is just a bit foggy...
#6 is my vote.
I really like the idea behind 6 - the colours are clean, it looks modern, the WASD/cursors clearly indicate the gaming intention, and it looks really good at small size.
However... I just don't like the font. Maybe if it wasn't italic? :?
Howdy, I just made few ones - I have no idea how 'legal' it is to re-use the Java logo like that.. but I really doubt Sun would care. There's also mouseover images for the small ones. I can try to modify any of 'em if there's something you don't like about.

These last logo's will not be used in the second voting. The use of a Java logo is a legal minefield that we do not want.
