We've got bad sectors on the server that hosts lwjgl.org (and Puppygames, and bits of oddlabs, etc). I think it's time we sorted it out before we get a permanent outage. Any suggestions for how to proceed that involves a minimum of extreme pain?

Just one harddisc or all?
You could redirect the page for the downtime to a infopage and announce the expected downtime. Guess thats the most simple plan ^^"
well, I can't speak for everyone else - but lwjgl basically consists of some web space, a forum and a DB - all using PHP/mysql.
So it can move to any other host.
There is no need to "special setups" or RMI like puppygames.
it basically comes down to our needs - do we need a special setup like now (multiple companies sharing a server) with multiple users?
should we "part-our-ways" and find our own setup?
Well, I'm going to have to plonk us onto another bit of hardware at some point soon ish. I am assuming that Servermatrix will be able to assist us if it's just a case of putting in a new harddisk and copying the old one over. I'll ask them...
