We're in the process of looking for new forum software. Ideally it should be cheap and have automated upgrades.
If you have any suggestions, fire away

I'm less worried about automated upgrades (coz Matzon has to do it, haha) so I'd rather just have the bestest forum money can buy and I think that's vBulletin.

Cas :)

I've been using Simple Machines Forum (http://www.simplemachines.org/) for over a year on two sites and have had no problems with it.

I am for vBulletin or Invision Power Board. IPB I used for five years.

I don't know any board that comes with automatic updates. You have always to upload the patch yourself ;)

Simple Machines has automated (not automatic) updates. In the admin panel is a page that displays the latest news from the company, the current version installed, and any versions available for upgrade. One click and you're done.

I'll agree with going to Simple Machines... I used phpBB for years and then switched. It's great.
