after running the Grass Example i was wondering about using 16 Bit Color Mode instand of 32Bit. I think that most Card running much fast in 32 Bit mode that 16 Bit.
Had somesone coded an FPS Counter for the Grass Example ?

Older cards run much faster in 16 bit than 32bit. Newer cards are limited first by bus bottlenecks and then by fillrate.

Older Card must Convert 24/32 Bit Texture before drawing. The Fillrate will be not the Bottleneck.
What you mean with older ? TNT Based Cards ? There you must do extra things to do Bumpmapping for example.
