The entries for this round, are those that got the highest vote and new entries.

We will not be taking any new entries. The new logo will be found among the 4 entries. They may not be enhanced any further.
That logo in the other thread with the java-logo was great, even if the Java-logo was removed. I truly prefer that one, over all others.
Could you add that logo and remove the Java-logo?
Not unless there is a public outrage for the following reasons:
a) it was submitted *very* late in the process
b) it was submitted in a state that was not usable
c) judging by the last and current vote, there is a high likelyhood that it won't win anyway.
We were close to finding a winner last time, and if it weren't for the fact that we didn't want anyone to cry foul over the poll, we would have chosen a winner from last poll. We instead decided that we would give it all a second chance due to late entries. We will not be doing this over and over again.
If there were a high probability that the logo in question would even have had a chance, more people than you would have posted something about it. Since this is not the case, we have chosen to rule it out.
For all intents and purposes, we're trying to be 100% impartial - but we do have to actually complete this "contest". Those that wanted to submit have had several months to do it in.

right, but I was implying since poll 2 started. We have had 25 votes, and over 150 views, and you were the first to even ask about it. I am sure if people *really* *really* wanted that other logo *someone* would have mentioned it when poll 2 started. Yet no one did.
This might be a wrong conclusion, but untill someone proves me wrong, I'll stick with it.
Meh, look, we can always change the logo next year. This one'll do for now. But -- it needs to be tweaked, even after we've voted for it.
