Hi,

I need the native libraries for windows and linux complying to the current CVS version. Anyway to get them besides building them myself?

Thanks,
Thomas

princec

I can send you the Windows version by mail...?

Cas :)

indiana

That would be fine, thanks!! :D
My mailadress is "indiana DOT jones AT gmx DOT net"
(i hope thats cryptic enough to prevent spam bots :?)

Any team member with enough freetime to build the linux version?

Matzon

You can build the windows version using the free MS toolkit.
Linux builds can be made on any linux box since it comes with a compiler...

indiana

Any links where to get the "free MS toolkit" ?

I've sent indiana a win32 build + jar.

Cas :)

... and Indiana is very happy :D Thanks!

@ms-toolkit: Thanks for the link, but it's highly unlikely that I'll build the libs myself, now that I got them from Cas.

How about an (automated?) weekly build - downloadable from Sourceforge or the lwjgl.org web page to help out us poor no-native-lib-builders   ?

BTW: What compilers can be used for the Windows version? Just MS Visual C++ or also Mingw or some other compilers?
Seems the platform SDK is a huge download for my ISDN connection...

Cheers,
Tommy

Yes, I also wanted to propose that. Such as nightly builds (if possible) or latest stable... something like that would be extremely helpful  8)

Does anyone know the status of this? Will there be a weekly automated build?

Currently, there's a "Random Win32 CVS build". Somehting about SWT support.

Matzon's the man for this sort of fiddlery but he's just gone to visit China. Assuming they don't throw him in prison for wearing the wrong colour t-shirt he'll be back in about 3 weeks.

Anyway, Elias' latest build (with the new Display class) should keep us all content/busy for the next weeks
