Title: placing Display on different monitor
Post by: tomjnsn on February 26, 2005, 00:28:08
If I get the Display and set its location so the display appears halfway between the two monitors on my system (Win32) it will refresh on the main or default monitor (the one with the start menu, etc. on it) but it remains black on the secondary monitor.

I also tried moving the whole Display over completely to the secondary monitor, and the screen just blanks out until my process runs and the Display is destroyed.

I'm pretty sure the refresh rate is the same for both monitors (@ 60Hz).

Any ideas on how I can get this to work on the secondary monitor?  It is a pretty big deal for what I'm wanting to do.

Oh, just in case it matters, I'm using XP, with an ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000.  I'm going to try and do the same thing tonight on my mac at home.

Thanks,

Tom

I did some testing on my powerbook, and I was able to get a Display to work successfully on either monitor.  Could this be an issue with video cards?  Anyone have any insight into video cards that might only do OpenGL stuff on one of their monitors?

Thanks,

Tom
